Springfield Lawn and Landscape Company Opens Its Doors in Cape Coral
Friday, September 22, 2017 – SPRINGFIELD, IL – Local lawn and landscape company Scooter’s Lawn Care has expanded to Cape Coral, Florida. Scooter’s, owned by Jacob Godar, has experienced unprecedented growth since it opened in Springfield in 2014. “Florida was the natural next step for us,” Godar stated. “It has always been our plan. Our crew leaders can work year-round if they’re willing to spend their winters in Florida.”
Godar and a Scooter’s crew leader were just beginning work in Cape Coral when Hurricane Irma forced them to evacuate. “That was a scary week,” Godar said. “Flights were cancelled. It was getting chaotic. We rented a car and drove back to Illinois, one day before mass evacuations clogged the highways.”
Luckily, Cape Coral saw minimal hurricane damage and Scooter’s Lawn Care was able to resume work quickly. “We’ve never let anything deter us. If anything, the hurricane showed us that we’re in the right spot. We really care about the Cape Coral community.”
As for what’s next for Scooter’s Lawn Care, Godar says the possibilities are endless. “We will continue to grow. We will grow our team, create management positions, and offer our employees meaningful careers. We’ll continue to expand our service areas. We’ll continue to raise the bar in the lawn and landscape industry.”
